Financial Assistance

When completing post-secondary education, finding funding can sometimes be a challenge. If you are registered in post-secondary level courses, you may be eligible for student loans and/or grants.

Full-time funding

Government loans and grant funding may be available to you if you are studying in an eligible program at the post-secondary level. Full-time funding requires you to maintain at least 60% of a full-time course load (40% if you are a student with a permanent disability).

How do I apply?

Go to the StudentAid BC website where you can determine your eligibility and apply for a full-time loan online. https://studentaidbc.ca/

Part-Time Funding

If you are studying at between 20% and 59% of a full-time course load, you may be eligible for Part-Time Studies Assistance to help you meet your educational expenses.

Government loans and grants are available to eligible part-time students who are registered in eligible programs. It is important to be aware that part-time funding assesses only for tuition, student fees, books and supplies, transportation, and childcare. You will not be assessed for living costs.
